WHAT TO EXPECT
Our sports leaders will deliver a Rushmoor and Hart Districts Sports Competition at the Aldershot Military Stadium to younger pupils across the primary phase.
Under the guidance of staff, our Sports Leaders take responsibility for planning, setting up, scoring and running each event. They work in teams to explain activities, demonstrate skills, encourage participation, and ensure that every child has a positive and memorable experience. Their support helps create an energetic, competitive atmosphere.
Taking on the role of a Sports Leader offers powerful opportunities for personal growth, students develop:
- Leadership Skills – communicating clearly, guiding younger pupils, and taking initiative.
- Resilience – managing challenges, staying calm under pressure, and problem-solving on the spot.
- Respect – demonstrating fairness, patience, and inclusivity with every child they support.
- Positive Role Modelling – inspiring younger pupils through their attitude, teamwork, and enthusiasm.
- Community Connection – bringing pupils, schools, and families together through sport and shared celebration.
By the end of the event, our Sports Leaders not only contribute to a competitive and active day for the primary pupils, but also grow in confidence, responsibility, and pride in their role within the wider school community.
